LABS Building Services Ltd is a family run business based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. We specialise in basement conversions, structural waterproofing, damp proofing, and timber treatments.

Converting your basement is one of the best ways to add a new living space and value to your home. While all conversions increase the value of a property, the key difference with our fully habitable conversion option is that we aim to bring the space up to a legally fully habitable standard by implementing a lightwell as an alternative fire escape, allowing it to class as an additional room on the property.

While all of our conversions offer a useable and flexible new space (please refer to our Storage Only conversion for the Waterproofing and Damp Proofing specification we provide), a fully habitable conversion can be signed off by Building Control, enabling it to be classed as an additional room in your property and adding greatly to its market value, usually around 15-20% of its original cost! This makes the conversion a fantastic investment for homeowners and property developers alike.

We go beyond our other conversions and bring your basement up to a fully habitable living standard, tailored to suit your vision. It can take a bit of effort to make your house into a home and LABS can help you by starting at the foundations. this conversion will take your new basement to new limits!

Got to say thank you to everyone at labs, especially Phil, Simon & Carl - they fully tanked my cellar, putting a pump system in there and helping with plastering and more, and I can't recommend them highly enough - great communication, fast & efficient work that is of a consistently high standard, and any and all problems were solved in a stress free and professional manner.
